Due to its small size and limited tourist development, Koufonisia is the ideal holiday destination for relaxation and swimming. There are some stunningly beautiful remote beaches to explore, with the characteristically pristine, crystal clear waters for which the Greek islands are renowned, where you can laze about soaking up the sun and blissful quiet. The beaches are not organized and offer great chances for complete privacy.
There are also a few activities available to the more adventurous traveller. Walking and cycling are a great way to reach the beaches of Koufonisia. Alternatively, one can take the local boats and cruise around these magical islands. As the island has many fishermen, fishing is also a highly popular activity.

The roads are not asphalted, so cars are not highly recommended. The whole island covers 5km², so all destinations can be reached by foot.
